Ankle & Heel

This sound file contains the balancing frequencies related to the ankle and heel associated body parts (such as bones, tendons, muscles, etc.), functions, emotions, chakras, meridians, possible disorders (including osteoarthritis, heel spurs, inflammation, etc.) and symptoms.

Physical Layer: to support a smooth, healthy functioning ankle and heel with all its components. The ankle connects the foot to the lower leg. The ankle consists of two joints, the upper and the lower hock joint. The upper hock joint consists of the ankle bone (talus), shin bone (tibia) and fibula and is responsible for moving the foot up and down. The lower ankle joint consists of the ankle bone (talus), the heel bone (calcaneus) and one of the tarsal bones (os naviculare) and this joint provides the lateral movement of the ankle. The ligaments provide extra stability in the ankle. Trauma to one of these ligaments is common (sprain). The hock joint of a horse is similar to the ankle joint in humans.

Energetic layer: in traditional Eastern medicine, the ankle joint is energetically connected to the meridian system with the kidney energy (bones, joint), liver energy (tendons, ligaments) and spleen energy (tendons, ligaments, connective tissue).

Personal layer: in traditional Indian medicine, the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the elbow are connected to the second chakra (fantasy, tenderness, creativity) and third chakra (perseverance, knowing boundaries, personal strength) and the bones with the first chakra (trust in yourself taking care of your body). The ankle is also connected with the themes of grounding, bearing capacity and resilience.
