Thyroid

This sound file contains the balancing frequencies related to the thyroid gland, its functions and possible conditions, including hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism and inflammation.

Physical layer: to support the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland is located at the bottom of the neck, in front of the trachea. The thyroid hormone in the thyroid gland stimulates the metabolism. The thyroid can work too fast or too slow, resulting in a metabolism that is too fast or too slow.

In the case of hyperthyroidism, the thyroid gland makes too much thyroid hormone, causing an overactive thyroid gland. Hyperthyroidism is almost always an autoimmune disease, a disease in which the body forms antibodies against itself, in this case against the thyroid gland. For example, Graves’ disease. Symptoms of hyperthyroidism can include palpitations, weight loss, excessive sweating, trembling fingers, overactivity, fatigue and/or a fast heartbeat. Sometimes an enlarged thyroid gland in the neck can be felt or seen.

An underactive thyroid makes too little thyroid hormone. This is usually congenital but can also arise at a later age. The cause may be a thyroid infection. It is also possible that hypothyroidism develops because an overactive thyroid has been treated with radioactive iodine or with surgery. Complaints of hypothyroidism can be tiredness, coldness, dry skin, weight gain, excessive blood loss during menstruation, brittle nails, constipation or hair loss.

Energetic layer: in traditional Eastern medicine, the thyroid gland is energetically connected to the triple heater meridian (triple warmer), kidney energy, the gallbladder energy and the liver. The thyroid as an energetic organ is, among other things, responsible for the interaction between thyroid hormones, adrenal hormones and sex hormones. It is also connected to the lymphatic system and the distribution of water and other fluids in the body. In case of imbalance, complaints such as deafness, ringing in the ears and/or tension in the abdominal area can occur. Mentally you may have trouble finding your inner balance, suffer from fatigue or depression. The thyroid gland is associated with the element of fire.

Personal layer: in traditional Indian medicine, the thyroid gland is connected to the fifth chakra or throat chakra. The theme of this chakra is communicating and expressing yourself, expression, but also with cleansing, purification and harmonizing opposites. Out of balance this can cause complaints with ears, jaws, mouth, throat and shoulder pain. Closing off more and more and/or no longer trusting your inner voice.
