Concussion

This sound file contains the balancing frequencies associated with a concussion.

A concussion (medical term minor traumatic brain injury or TBI) is a mild form of brain injury. This is caused by a blow to the skull, a fall on the skull, or other physical trauma (cranial trauma). A distinction is made between a mild and a severe concussion.

Known symptoms of a concussion are actually largely the same in animals as in humans; headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, slow thinking, confused, memory problems and blurred vision. Because an animal cannot tell you what it is suffering from, you as a caretaker must pay extra attention to signals that indicate the symptoms mentioned. If you weren’t there the moment your animal suffered a hard blow to its head, you may not be directly associating symptoms with a concussion. When in doubt, always consult a veterinarian. A concussion will eventually go away on its own with enough rest. Therefore, always adjust the physical and mental strain of your animal to what the animal indicates it can handle.

This sound file can be combined well with the sound files Regeneration, Trauma physical or Headache.
